Medicaid for Pregnant Women

Healthy Beginnings Plus is a benefit offered by the Pennsylvania Medical Assistance program, also known as Medicaid, designed to help you give your baby the best start in life.

In addition to prenatal medical care, the program provides educational programs, social services, and additional resources. Program participants receive free diapers if doing home visits.

To participate in the Healthy Beginnings Plus program you must be pregnant, eligible for medical assistance in Pennsylvania, and participate with a Healthy Beginnings Plus enrolled provider. Coverage continues for 60 days after the birth of your baby.
