- Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility (PRTF): Penn Highlands Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility, known as R-Place, is located on DuBois on Penn Highland’s East’s Campus. - CNX Foundation Substance Recovery Unit: Our CNX Foundation Substance Recovery Unit at Penn Highlands Mon Valley provides the highest level of inpatient care for substance use disorders, including for patients with co-occurring medical conditions, like depression, COPD or diabetes, who need the resources of a full acute-care hospital. Inpatient referrals are accepted 24 hours a day. Referrals to the inpatient units may be made by anyone — including patients themselves — as well as:
- Mental health providers
- Mobile crisis services
- Community mental health agencies
- Case managers
- Physicians or other healthcare providers
- School staff
- Family and friends
- Individuals may also present themselves to the Penn Highlands DuBois Emergency Department for a mental health evaluation.
