Adult Inpatient Behavioral Health Services

Inpatient Mental Health in Pennsylvania

When a mental crisis affects a loved one, Penn Highlands Healthcare's adult inpatient behavioral health services provide expert care for adults in crisis across Northwestern/Central and Southwestern Pennsylvania. A mental health crisis occurs when someone is unable to function in their daily life or when their mental health poses a threat to themselves or someone else. Most often, people experiencing a mental health crisis are taken to the nearest emergency room or admitted to inpatient adult behavioral health by a referring community mental health agency or physician.
