Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes emergency medicine physician Jacob Cauvel, DO, to its medical staff.
Dr. Cauvel joins the teams in the emergency departments at 100 Hospital Road in Brookville, 809 Turnpike Avenue in Clearfield, 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois, 763 Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys and 187 Hospital Drive in Tyrone.

Common treatments and procedures include symptoms of a heart attack, including chest pain and shortness of breath; symptoms of a stroke, including face droopiness, arm weakness and slurred speech; broken bones that pierce the skin or cause severe pain; difficulty breathing; loss of consciousness; severe abdominal pain; severe allergic reaction; uncontrolled bleeding; sudden, severe headache; and other serious illnesses or injuries.
Dr. Cauvel graduated from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg, W.Va. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at UPMC Hamot in Erie, where he was named chief resident. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
