Penn Highlands DuBois

Located on the first floor of Penn Highlands DuBois, the Emergency Department and Trauma Center is the only Level II Adult Trauma Center in Northwestern Pennsylvania, accredited by the Pennsylvania Trauma Systems Foundation.

A $21.5 million expansion added four trauma treatment bays and a dedicated 20-room Neuro/Trauma Intensive Care Unit, and the hospital holds a Stroke Gold Plus designation alongside national recognition as a 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Hospital.

For residents of Falls Creek, Sykesville, Luthersburg, and the surrounding communities, Penn Highlands DuBois is both the closest ER and the region’s highest level of trauma and emergency care, with pediatric emergency services available for patients of every age.
