What is the TIF Procedure?

TIF is a minimally invasive treatment for acid reflux. The procedure doesn’t require incisions, so there is no scarring and recovery is quick. During the procedure, the physician uses a specialized TIF device guided by an endoscope, a flexible tube-shaped instrument equipped with a camera that looks inside your body. Using this special device, the physician reconstructs the valve at the top of the stomach to prevent acid reflux. The procedure is performed through the mouth, so there are no incisions.
