Developmental Clinic
Follow Up Clinic for Babies in North Central Pennsylvania
The Developmental Clinic is a follow up clinic for babies who have been patients in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Penn Highlands DuBois.
Located in the Medical Arts Building across from PH DuBois West, the clinic has scheduled appointments for up to one year to gauge the development and growth of little patients.
The healthcare team consists of a nurse, speech therapist, physical therapist, administrative support and our neonatologist who work together with the parents.
Clinic Services
In the clinic, a child is assessed for:
- Interactions/play skills
- Language skills
- Hearing
- Motor skills
- Weight
- Height
The doctor examines the little patient and talks with the family to answer any questions or concerns. As a baby who was born a little early or with a health concern may develop on their own time table, and he or she may need a little help in a few areas.
