Erica Schmidt, MD

Erica Schmidt, MD is from Central Pennsylvania and is a resident physician in Psychiatry at Penn Highlands Healthcare. She completed her medical school prerequisites and majored in the Fine Arts at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, WI. She also received her phlebotomy certification at the University of Wisconsin. After this, she completed an emergency medical technician course in Coral Springs, Florida. Dr. Schmidt obtained her Doctor of Medicine degree at the Trinity School of Medicine. Some of her special interests include psychopharmacology, integrated med-psych, residential treatment/dual diagnosis, dialectical behavioral therapy, and psychiatric advance directives. Outside of work, she loves traveling and spending time with her family and her rescue cat, Onyx. She also enjoys inline skating, ice hockey, relaxing, swimming, and outdoor adventure.
