Hemant Bhalla, DO

Hemant Bhalla, DO is a resident physician in Psychiatry at Penn Highlands Healthcare. He was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at the University of Akron. Following that, he worked as a patient care nurse assistant and restaurant busser. He then pursued his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine with the goal of working in mental health. His special interests include psychodynamic therapy, as well as ADHD and comorbid conditions.

In his personal life, he like to competitively play Super Smash Bros. Aside from competitive gaming, he also enjoys getting involved in new hobbies, exercising, and spending time with others. He is passionate about psychiatry, and is looking forward being on the front lines at Penn Highlands to serve those in the community who are in need of mental health services.
