Message From Program Director
Psychiatry Residency Program at Penn Highlands
The Psychiatry Residency Program here at Penn Highlands is designed to train competent, well-rounded, empathic physicians with a desire to practice evidence-based Psychiatry with integrity and excellence.
We have a strong emphasis on both biologic psychiatry and psychopharmacology as well as the principles and practice of psychotherapy. As part of hospital system in Rural Pennsylvania, our program emphasizes Clinical and Community Psychiatry, but also values and promotes research and scholarly activity. Our dedicated faculty members actively participate in clinical rotations as well as didactics. It is a great honor to help educate and train the next generation of Psychiatrists, and we look forward to the continued growth and success of this program. The information below provides and overview of our program, information regarding our department, and more detailed information about our rotation and didactics curriculums.
Thank you for your interest in our program!
