Tyrone Hospital to Hold Donate Life Flag Raising

Community members are invited to attend a Donate Life flag raising event at Tyrone Hospital. The event is being held as part of the hospital’s activities as a participant in the annual Donate Life Challenge.

The Donate Life Challenge is an annual campaign that Pennsylvania hospitals participate in to support organ donation awareness and designations within their hospital and community.

Tyrone Hospital will hold its flag raising event on Friday February 14th at 1 pm in the hospital’s main lobby. The event will include brief comments by hospital leaders, information about organ donation, refreshments and display of the Donate Life Flag which will remain on display at Tyrone Hospital now through April when the Donate Life Challenge concludes.

The Donate Life Challenge runs from January through April. It is sponsored by The Hospital and Healthsystem Association of Pennsylvania (HAP) in partnership with the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the two organ procurement organizations serving Pennsylvania—the Center for Organ Recovery & Education and Gift of Life Donor Program.
