Tyrone Hospital Celebrates National Donor Day with Flag Raising

Tyrone Hospital held a Donate Life flag raising event on Feb 14th, National Donor Day, as part of its activities in the annual Donate Life Challenge. The challenge includes health providers across Pennsylvania who work to raise organ donation awareness and encourage people to register as organ donors. The event included comments from Beth Dietrick, Chief Nursing Officer at Tyrone Hospital regarding the importance of organ donation and details on how to register as an organ donor were provided. A special table display was also available in the Tyrone Hospital main lobby where people could help themselves to a variety of information on organ donation. The table display included special valentines that had an organ donation theme.
