TAHS Girls Basketball Team Supports Women’s Health
The Tyrone Area High School (TAHS) Girls Basketball team and their Booster Club donated $1,631.31 to the Tyrone Regional Health Network Foundation to be directed to Tyrone Regional’s Breast Cancer and Women’s Health Institute to support women’s health services.
Funds were raised through activities conducted in conjunction with the 2019 Tyrone/Bellwood Varsity Girls Basketball Pink Game. Fund raising activities included a t-shirt sale, distribution of fund raising letters, a basket raffle, Cornhole boards, a 50/50 fund raiser, fund raising cans at the game and 10% of proceeds from the concession stand the evening of the event were donated.
For the past several years, the TAHS Girls Basketball Team and their Booster Club have raised funds via their annual pink game and have designated Tyrone Regional’s Breast Cancer & Women’s Health Institute as the benefactor.
