Penn Highlands Tyrone is currently on divert after experiencing a minor generator malfunction this morning. Following appropriate protocol to ensure the safety of patients and staff, maintenance reported an electrical type smell when testing the generators. Patients are safe and have been evacuated and transferred to other facilities. Patients and staff are all safe.

Ambulances are being diverted to other facilities. Patients requiring emergency services should call 911 or proceed to the next closest emergency department. Operations at Penn Highlands Tyrone are expected to resume this morning after all safety checks are completed.
