Motorcycle Club Makes Donation to Tyrone Rural Health Center
Winter will be warmer and cozier for children in the Tyrone area thanks to a generous donation from the Red Knights International Motorcycle Club Altoona PA Chapter 39.
The Red Knights Altoona Club donated winter hats, mittens and gloves to benefit children who receive care at the Tyrone Rural Health Center, a primary care physician office that is part of Tyrone Regional Health Network. The hats and gloves are being distributed to the Rural Health Center’s pediatric patients while supplies last.
The Red Knights Altoona Chapter members provided the hats and gloves as a community service project to support area children. The hats and gloves were purchased with support from a sponsor, Liberty Power, and through fund raisers conducted by the club and donations from club members.
During the 2019 holiday season, the Red Knights Altoona Chapter provided hats and gloves to organizations in Altoona, Tyrone, State College and Dubois for distribution to children in those areas. This is the second year the Red Knights Altoona Chapter has provided hats and gloves for area children and the club plans to conduct the project on an annual basis.
The Red Knights International Firefighter Motorcycle Club is a social club for firefighters and their families who enjoy riding motorcycles. The club’s membership is comprised of firefighters who are, active, retired, career and volunteer.
