Welcome Scott Jacobson, DO

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified hospitalist Scott Jacobson, DO, to its medical staff.

Dr. Jacobson joins the teams at Penn Highlands Connellsville at 401 E. Murphy Avenue in Connellsville and Penn Highlands Mon Valley at 1163 Country Club Road in Monongahela.

Dr. Jacobson has more than 25 years of experience, and as a hospitalist he is specially trained for inpatient care. He works in partnership with a patient’s primary care provider to collaborate and communicate about previous care, current diagnosis, medications and treatment plans. Dr. Jacobson is experienced working with each department of the hospital so that he can better assist patients to a speedy recovery.

Common treatments and procedures include comprehensive care, illness and post-surgery care.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Jacobson practiced at Pish Medical Associates in Uniontown, Excela Health in Greensburg, Westmoreland Hospital in Greensburg, Jeanette Memorial Hospital in Jeannette, and St. John Detroit Riverview Hospital in Detroit, Mich.

Dr. Jacobson graduated from the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences in Des Moines, Iowa. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. John’s Detroit Riverview Hospital in Detroit, Mich.
