Welcome Adil Waheed, DO, FSCAI
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes five board-certified and fellowed interventional cardiologist Adil Waheed, DO, FSCAI, to its medical staff.
Dr. Waheed joins the team at Penn Highlands Cardiology, located at 1290 Chess Street, Suite 101, in Monongahela.
Dr. Waheed specializes in diagnosing and treating coronary artery disease, vascular disease, structural heart disease and congenital heart defects. He has more than two decades of experience in interventional cardiology, and he provides patients with expert care for even the most complex cases.
Common treatments and procedures include level II echo and TEE, level II nuclear medicine, level II CT angiography, diagnostic and interventional cardiology, rotational atherectomy, orbital atherectomy, IVUS and FFR, impella, permanent pacemaker insertion and loop recorder insertion, peripheral angiography and intervention, IVC filter placement and retrieval, and symptomatic varicose veins and non-healing ulcers.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Waheed practiced at US Heart and Vascular in Pittsburgh and St. Clair Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Dr. Waheed graduated from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie. He completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh and fellowships in interventional cardiology and cardiology at Deborah Heart and Lung Center in Browns Mills, N.J. Dr. Waheed is featured in Pittsburgh Magazine as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology, American Osteopathic Association and Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions. He is also a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.
