Penn Highlands Mon Valley Showcases CNX Foundation Substance

Recovery Unit During Open House

PH Mon Valley CNX Ribbon Cutting

This fall, Penn Highlands Mon Valley is opening the new CNX Foundation Substance Recovery Unit on the seventh floor of the hospital. The progressive unit is the first and only Level 4.0 inpatient withdrawal and treatment facility in Washington, Westmoreland, Fayette and Greene counties. Level 4.0 treatment facilities are for patients who require more specialized care with the support of a full acute-care hospital. It will provide a 3.7 Bio Medically enhanced level of care which is the first of its kind in Western Pennsylvania. It will provide a continuum of care for people with medical conditions.

“Our goal has always been to provide the people in this region with the highest quality healthcare so they do not have to travel far when they need care,” said Peter J. Adamo, Penn Highlands Healthcare Regional Market President – Southwestern Region who also serves as President of Penn Highlands Mon Valley. “The new unit will provide treatment and rehabilitation for people through the first stage of substance withdrawal to help transition them to the next phase of their journey to recovery.”

The CNX Foundation, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Senator Camera Bartolotta, US Representative Guy Reschenthaler, Southwest Behavioral Health Management, Inc., Northwest Behavioral Health Partnerships, Inc. and the Westmoreland Drug and Alcohol Commission, Inc., have all contributed financially to the success of this effort and we are very appreciative.”
