Welcome Tamzan Schmidt, CF-SLP

Penn Highlands Healthcare is pleased to welcome speech-language pathology clinical fellow, Tamzan Schmidt, CF-SLP, to their rehabilitation location in Monongahela.

Schmidt joins The Rehabilitation Center after six years of schooling including two years of clinical externships. Schmidt earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees at Indiana University of Pennsylvania. During her studies and experiences, she became passionate about helping others through speech therapy.

“I am a recent graduate, and very excited to be putting the knowledge I’ve gained from school and clinical experience to work with the Penn Highlands Healthcare team,” said Schmidt. “I’m looking forward to helping adults with neurogenic communication disorders find their voices again and strengthen their swallows with dysphagia interventions. I’m also excited to be working with children in the outpatient setting to develop language skills and improve articulation!”
