Welcome Melissa Allio, CRNP
Melissa Allio, certified registered nurse practitioner, has joined Penn Highlands Women’s Care, according to Dr. Ioanna Kanellitsas, obstetrician and gynecologist.
Allio will be providing care to women of all ages with an emphasis on gynecologic needs. She can provide prenatal and postnatal care, help with menstrual problems, infertility, pelvic and bladder concerns, preventive care and contraceptive counseling.
She will be seeing patients in the DuBois office at 145 Hospital Ave., DuBois, and can be reached at 371-6172.
“Melissa is a great asset to our practice. Our patients appreciate her knowledge and her compassion,” Kanellitasas said.
“I have been a patient at Penn Highlands Women’s Care for over three years and I knew the team here was wonderful. I am incredibly excited to become part of this team,” Allio said.
Allio received her nursing degree from Citizen’s School of Nursing in New Kensington, her bachelor’s of nursing from Clarion University in Clarion and her master’s degree in family nurse practitioner from Chamberlain School of Nursing, Downers Grove, Ill.
She is a board-certified and a member of the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
A native of Hadley, Allio currently lives in Lucinda.
