Welcome Melinda Stanisch, CRNP
Penn Highlands Elk welcomes Melinda Stanisch, family nurse practitioner, who sees patients at Penn Highlands Family Medicine in St. Marys and Emporium alongside Dr. Amy Kelly.
Stanisch offers comprehensive primary care to patients including wellness exams, treatment of acute and chronic injuries and illnesses, vaccinations and joint injections.
“I’m pleased to welcome Melinda to the practice,” said Kelly. “She will be a great asset to our team and will provide patients with a high quality of compassionate care.”
“I feel honored and privileged to get to provide healthcare to the residents of the area where I grew up,” said Stanisch, a native of Kersey.
Stanisch earned her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Indiana University of Pennsylvania in Indiana and her master’s degree with a specialty as a family nurse practitioner from The Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C.
An employee of Penn Highlands DuBois since 2013, Stanisch previously worked as a staff nurse in the Intensive Care Unit. There, she provided direct patient care to patients and served as a charge nurse, coordinating patient assignments among staff, communicating with other departments and supervisors and teaching new staff necessary critical care skills.
Stanisch currently resides in St. Marys with her husband, Jake, and their dog, Lexie. She enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors.
