Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant Matthew Schultz to its medical staff.
Schultz joins the team at Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, located at 900 Bryan Street, Suite 7, in Huntingdon.
Schultz provides specialized care to patients experiencing a variety of gastrointestinal symptoms, such as acid reflux, constipation, gallstones, heartburn and swallowing disorders. At Penn Highlands Gastroenterology, patients have access to state-of-the-art diagnostic technology and cutting-edge treatments, all at a convenient location close to home.
Common treatments and procedures include acute GI tract diseases, chronic GI tract diseases, colorectal cancer, irritable bowel syndrome, liver disease and ulcerative colitis.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Schultz gained clinical experience at Trinity Pediatrics in Wintersville, Ohio; Butler Health System Emergency Department in Butler; Primecare Internal Medicine Associates in Pittsburgh; Caresalus Internal Medicine in Indiana, Penn.; Good Samaritan Pain Clinic in Mars; AHN Family Crossroads in Leechburg; Butler Health Systems Pulmonary Associates in Butler; All About Women Health in Weirton, W. Va.; and West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Schultz earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Slippery Rock University in Harrisville.
