Welcome Macy L. Rupprecht, DO

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes dual-board-certified physician Macy L. Rupprecht, DO, to its medical staff.

Dr. Rupprecht joins the hospitalist program at Penn Highlands Elk, located at 763 Johnsonburg Road in St. Marys.

As a hospitalist, Dr. Rupprecht provides care for patients while they are admitted to the hospital. She works closely with your primary care provider to collaborate and communicate about your previous care, current diagnosis, medications and treatment plans.

Common treatments and procedures include critical care, diagnosis, extensive care unit, intermediate care unit, medical-surgical acute care and treatment.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Rupprecht practiced at Eastern Shore Rural Health System in Onancock, Va.; Ascension Via Christi Immediate Care in Wichita, Kan.; Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Kan.; and Midwest CES in Kansas City, Mo.

Dr. Rupprecht is a graduate of Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine in Blacksburg, Va., and completed her residency in family medicine at Via Christi in Wichita, Kan. She is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American Academy of Family Physicians, and Catholic Medical Association.
