Welcome Kenneth L. Cherry, MD and Todd E. Brunermer, PA-C

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes double board-certified orthopedic surgeon Kenneth L. Cherry, MD; and certified physician assistant, Todd E. Brunermer, PA-C, to its medical staff.

Dr. Cherry and Todd join the team at Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, located at 239 Colonnade Boulevard, in State College.

Dr. Cherry specializes in arthritis of the hip and knee and adult reconstruction or total hip and knee replacement. His primary focus is on minimally invasive surgical techniques and pain management strategies.

With more than 30 years of orthopedic experience, Todd treats a wide range of conditions with the goal of reducing or eliminating pain and restoring function so that patients can return to work and life.

Dr. Cherry is a graduate of Jefferson Medical College, Thomas Jefferson University, in Philadelphia. He also completed his residency in orthopedics at Jefferson Medical College.

He is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgery; and a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society.

Todd earned his Bachelor of Science in Medical Science (Physician Assistant) at Alderson Broaddus University in Philippi, WV. He is a certified physician assistant, receiving certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Cherry and Todd practiced at University Orthopedics Center.
