Welcome, Kahdi F. Udobi, MD, FACS
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified surgeon Kahdi F. Udobi, MD, FACS, to its medical staff.
Dr. Udobi joins the team at Penn Highlands General Surgery at 145 Hospital Avenue, Suite 313, in DuBois.
With three decades of experience, Dr. Udobi provides highly skilled surgical care to patients experiencing severe or life-threatening injuries and illnesses. Dr. Udobi has been widely recognized for his clinical care as well as his research.
Common treatments and procedures include Emergency general surgery, life-threatening conditions to include management of multi-system organ failure and surgical critical care, trauma surgery and care of the injured patient.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Udobi was the vice chair of the department of surgery at Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga.
Dr. Udobi graduated from the University of Ibadan in Ibadan, Nigeri. He completed his residency in surgery at State University of New York in Buffalo, N.Y.; Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta, Ga.; and Graduate Hospital in Philadelphia. He completed his fellowship in trauma/surgical critical care at the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland in Baltimore, Md.
He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma, Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons, American Medical Association, Society of Critical Care Medicine and American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery.
