Welcome, Jonathan Bussey, DO, MPH
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified neurosurgeon Jonathan Bussey, DO, MPH, to its medical staff.
Dr. Bussey joins the teams at Penn Highlands Neurosurgery at 145 Hospital Avenue, Suite 106, in DuBois, 542 Rugh Street, suite 2000, in Greensburg, 820 Bryan Street, suite 1, in Huntingdon, 1265 Wayne Avenue, suite 204 in Indiana, and 100 Stoops Drive, suite 200, in Monongahela.
With two decades of experience, Dr. Bussey provides highly specialized care to patients with brain, spine or nerve diseases and injuries utilizing innovative procedures and state-of-the-art technology. From simple procedures to complex brain and spine surgery, Dr. Bussey offers world-class care to patients in our region.
Common treatments and procedures include acute strokes, arteriovenous and dural fistulas, carpal tunnel syndrome, cavernous malformations, chiari malformations, cranial and spinal, meningiomas, disc herniation, failed back syndrome, peripheral nerve disorders, primary and secondary brain tumors, radiculopathy, spinal AVMs, spinal spondylolisthesis, spinal stenosis, tethered cord syndrome, trigeminal neuralgia and vertebral compression fractures.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Bussey practiced at Susquehanna Health Medical Group, UPMC, in Williamsport; DLP Conemaugh Physician Practices, LLC, in Johnstown; Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J.; Jersey Spine Associates in Marlton, N.J.; The Spine Institute of Southern New Jersey in Marlton, N.J.; Kennedy Health System in Cherry Hill, Stratford and Washington Township, N.J.; Inspira Health Network in Woodbury, N.J.; and Virtua Health System in Marlton, N.J.
Dr. Bussey graduated from Oklahoma State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Tulsa, Okla. He also earned a Master of Public Health in Health Administration and Policy at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center in Oklahoma City, Okla. He completed his residency in neurological surgery at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J., and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, N.J. He completed a fellowship in neurosurgical trauma at Cooper University Hospital in Camden, N.J. He is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, American College of Osteopathic Surgeons, Sigma Sigma Phi and American Medical Writers Association.
