Welcome Denny Tang, MD, FACS
Penn Highlands Brookville welcomes Denny Tang, MD, FACS, to its medical staff, according to Julie Peer, hospital president.
Tang, who is board certified in general surgery and colon and rectal surgery, will offer surgical treatments such as gallbladder removal, colon resection, colonoscopy and antireflux surgery in addition to other general and colorectal surgery procedures. His office, Penn Highlands General Surgery, is located at 240 Allegheny Blvd. in Brookville.

Tang comes to Penn Highlands from Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning, where he served as a general surgeon. He was previously employed at Western Pennsylvania Allegheny Health System in Pittsburgh and at Highlands Surgical Associates, Inc. in Natrona Heights.
Tang earned his bachelor’s degree at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh and his medical degree at Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a general surgery residency at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pa. and a colon and rectal surgery residency at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Oh. He is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a member of the American College of Colon and Rectal Surgeons, as well as a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Surgeons. Additionally, he is a member of the Pennsylvania Medical Society and the Pittsburgh Surgical Society.
A native of Pittsburgh, Tang currently resides in Armstrong County. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family and practicing martial arts and yoga.
