Welcome, Deepak Garg, MD
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified infectious disease physician Deepak Garg, MD, to its medical staff.
Garg will join the team at Penn Highlands Infectious Disease, a service of Penn Highlands DuBois, located at 635 Maple Avenue in DuBois.
Garg will provide patients with specialized care in diagnosing and treating infectious diseases, such as hepatitis B or C, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), bone and joint infections and other chronic or difficult-to-treat conditions, as well as wounds that stem from diabetes, trauma, paralysis, circulatory problems or burns.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Garg practiced at Bronson Battle Creek Hospital in Battle Creek, Mich., and was an assistant professor of infectious diseases at Western Michigan University Homer Stryker M.D. School of Medicine in Kalamazoo, Mich.
Garg graduated from Government Medical College, Patiala, Punjab, India. He completed a residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center, New York City, N.Y., and a fellowship in infectious disease at St. John Hospital and Medical Center, Detroit, Mich. Garg is a member of the American Medical Association and the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
