Welcome David W. Lee, MD, RPVI FACC, FSCAI
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes multi board-certified interventional cardiologist David W. Lee, MD, RPVI, FACC, FSCAI, to its medical staff.
Dr. Lee joins the team at Penn Highlands Cardiology at 404 West Main Street in Uniontown.
Dr. Lee specializes in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease, including coronary artery disease, valvular disease and vascular disease. He is committed to forming ongoing relationships with his patients, providing them with the most recent evidence-based care and helping them live with the best quality of life as possible.
Common treatments and procedures include right and left heart catheterization; coronary angiography; percutaneous coronary intervention (including balloon angioplasty, stenting, atherectomy and intravascular lithotripsy); peripheral angiography; peripheral arterial intervention (including carotid arteries, upper and lower extremity arteries and renal arteries); catheter-based treatment of pulmonary embolism and deep venous thrombosis; mechanical circulatory support (including intra-aortic balloon pump and Impella); transthoracic and transesophageal echocardiography; stress testing; and vascular ultrasound.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Lee practiced at Excela Health Medical Group in Greensburg.
Dr. Lee is a graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency in internal medicine at New York University (NYU) Medical Center in New York, N.Y. He completed fellowships in cardiovascular disease at the University of North Carolina (UNC) Medical Center in Chapel Hill, N.C., and in interventional cardiology at the University of North Carolina Medical Center in Chapel Hill, N.C., and at UNC Rex North Carolina Heart and Vascular Hospital in Raleigh, N.C.
Dr. Lee is a fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions and American College of Cardiology. He is a member of the American Heart Association and AHA Peripheral Vascular Disease Leadership Committee.
