Welcome, Alexander Zoretich, MD
Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes emergency medicine physician Alexander Zoretich, MD, to its medical staff.
Zoretich joins the team at the Clearfield Emergency Department, located at 809 Turnpike Avenue in Clearfield, and the Huntingdon Emergency Department, located at 1225 Warm Springs Avenue in Huntingdon.
Originally from Greencastle, Zoretich provides specialized critical care to patients in the Clearfield and Huntingdon areas. In addition to being an emergency medicine physician, Dr. Zoretich is an active athlete and enjoys biking, playing softball and basketball.
Common treatments and procedures laceration repair, intubation, central line placement, IV guided lines, splinting, joint reduction, procedural sedation and critical care treatment.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Zoretich practiced at Allegheny General Emergency Department, LifeFlight Helicopter Medical Command and EMS Ground Command in the Allegheny Health Network. He also practiced at Barrier Precautions and Controls for Highly Infectious Diseases Training (HID) and Healthcare Leadership for Mass Causality Incidents (HCL-ICE) in Anniston, Ala.
Zoretich graduated from Penn State College of Medicine in Hershey. He completed his residency in emergency medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh. He is a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association and Society for Academic Emergency Medicine.
