Welcome Alex Sossong, MD

Penn Highlands DuBois welcomes Alex Sossong, MD, to its Emergency Department medical staff, according to Brian Gates, emergency medical director of PH DuBois.

Sossong is a licensed emergency physician who treats patients with acute and chronic illness or injury.

“We are excited and honored to have Dr. Sossong join our team here at Penn Highlands DuBois,” said Gates. “He has a great personality and is a pleasure to work with.”

“I am very excited to care for the people of the greater DuBois area and treat their medical conditions and injuries in the Emergency Department,” said Sossong.

Sossong earned his bachelor’s degree in biology at Saint Francis University in Loretto, and he earned his medical degree from Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia. He completed a residency in emergency medicine at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

A native of New Germany, Sossong currently resides in DuBois. He enjoys playing guitar, drawing, hiking, snowboarding and spending time with family.
