Welcome Abigail Wilson, PA-C

Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes certified physician assistant Abigail Wilson, PA-C, to its medical staff.

Abigail joins the teams at Penn Highlands Bariatric and General Surgery, located at 90 Beaver Drive, Suite 122-D, in DuBois.

Abigail provides patients seeking bariatric surgery with comprehensive care that addresses your physical and emotional needs before and after surgery. She spends time with patients before your procedure, breaking down any nonproductive thoughts and behaviors surrounding food and preparing you for the lifelong lifestyle changes you will need to make postoperatively.

Common treatments and procedures include assessment of patients for bariatric surgery options, evaluation of patients for bariatric surgery complications, medical weight management and prescription of weight loss medications, discussion of bariatric surgery procedures and long term follow up of bariatric surgery patients.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands Bariatric and General Surgery, Abigail gained clinical experience at Primary Care Associates of Western PA in Brookville; Penn Highlands Elk in St. Marys; Laurel Cosmetics in Brookville; UPMC Chautauqua in Jamestown, N.Y.; Sunrise Collaborative in Warren; St. Vincent Hospital in Erie; Penn Highlands DuBois in DuBois; Penn Highlands Life’s Journey in DuBois; and Penn Highlands Pediatrics in DuBois.

Abigail earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at Mercyhurst University in Erie and her Bachelor of Science in Biology at Clarion University of Pennsylvania in Clarion. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Associates and Pennsylvania Society of Physician Assistants.
