Penn Highlands Healthcare welcomes board-certified radiologist A. H. Hardy, MD, to its medical staff.
Dr. Hardy joins the team at Penn Highlands Radiology, located at 100 Hospital Avenue in DuBois.
Dr. Hardy specializes in radiology and interventional radiology, which utilizes minimally invasive image-guided procedures to diagnose and treat diseases. Interventional radiology enables physicians to treat patients with less risk, pain and recovery time as compared to traditional open surgery. Dr. Hardy has over two decades of experience and is here to provide you with the best possible care.
Common treatments and procedures include arterial embolization; arterial angioplasty/stenting; image-guided biopsies; lung, liver, renal and other tumor ablations; CT- and US-guided biopsies; gastronomy tubes; renal access; biliary access; DVT/PE thrombectomy/lysis; pain injections; joint aspirations; neurolysis; vertebroplasty; IV access; TIPS; uterine fibroid embolization; and hepatic chemoembolization.
Prior to joining Penn Highlands, Dr. Hardy practiced at Medford Radiology Group in Medford, Ore.; TRA Medical Imaging in Tacoma, Wash.; and the U.S. Air Force at Elmendorf Air Force Base in Alaska and Tallil Air Base in Iraq.
Dr. Hardy graduated from the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, Fla., and completed a residency in family medicine at Malcolm Grow Medical Center, United States Air Force, at Andrews Air Force Base, Md. He completed a residency in radiology and a fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at UC Davis Medical Center in Sacramento, Calif. He is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology, American College of Radiology, American Roentgen Ray Society and Radiological Society of North America.
