Penn Highlands Healthcare To Offer Walk-in Primary Care

You wake up with a sore throat. Your child comes home from school with a bumpy rash. Could that discomfort in your eye be pink eye? Sometimes minor injuries and illnesses happen at the most inconvenient times – especially when your doctor may not be able to immediately see you or you do not have a primary care provider.

Penn Highlands Healthcare is here to help by making it easier for you to see a provider in the Mon Valley region. Beginning March 4, 2024, Penn Highlands Family Medicine, in Rostraver Township, is offering walk-in hours — Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Located in Suite 210 in the Mon Valley HealthPlex at 800 Plaza Drive, Penn Highlands Family Medicine is staffed by physicians and certified registered nurse practitioners who treat people of all ages — from children through seniors — with skill and compassion.

“People are busy today. They do not always have time to be sick or to wait for an appointment with their physician,” said Sundeep Ekbote, MD, Penn Highlands Healthcare’s Regional Chief Medical Officer for the Southwestern Region “Our new walk-in family medicine office is designed to accommodate the healthcare needs of today’s active families so they can be on the way to recovery faster.”
