Penn Highlands Healthcare Partners with Juniata Valley School District to Provide Wellness Event

Penn Highlands Healthcare is partnering with the Juniata Valley School District to provide a wellness event for the community on Friday, April 12, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM in the gymnasium at the Juniata Valley High School located at 7775 Juniata Valley Pike, Alexandria.

"Working with the Juniata Valley School District to create this wellness event not only provides the opportunity to communicate what services Penn Highlands has to offer to support our community, it also offers the opportunity for Penn Highlands to learn what the community is looking for in their healthcare team," said Rebecca Mease, MSN, RN, CFRN, CEN, PHRN, Director, Emergency Department, Penn Highlands Huntingdon and Penn Highlands Tyrone.

Attendees will have the opportunity to learn tips on staying healthy and active all year long while engaging with Penn Highlands Healthcare professionals from multiple specialty care services and there will be free blood pressure screenings too. Plus, a blood analysis screening and lipid panel, metabolic panel, H&H and Hemoglobin A1C will be available for $40. To preregister for lab screenings, patients should call 814-643-7035. Walk-ins will also be accepted. Cash or check will be accepted for payment of the labs.

Representatives from the Talent Acquisition Department will also be there to share information about career opportunities with Penn Highlands Healthcare.

Admission is free and open to the public, and there will be giveaways while supplies last.
