Penn Highlands Healthcare COO Appointed to Hospital and Healthsystem of Pennsylvania Board
Mark Norman, Chief Operating Officer of Penn Highlands Healthcare, has been appointed to the Board of Directors of the Hospital and Healthsystem of Pennsylvania (HAP). During his three-year board term, Mark will collaborate with healthcare leaders from across the commonwealth to further the HAP mission and advance initiatives designed to improve healthcare delivery throughout Pennsylvania.
HAP is a statewide membership services organization that represents 235 hospitals as well as the patients and communities they serve. The organization is the leading voice for the health and well-being of Pennsylvanians. HAP has strong relationships with state and federal officials and a broad spectrum of stakeholders committed to achieving a healthy Pennsylvania.

Prior to joining Penn Highlands Healthcare in 2016, Mark served as the CEO of Lackey Memorial Hospital in Forest, Miss. and Pioneer Community Hospital of Newton, in Newton, Miss. He began his career at North Mississippi Health Services in Tupelo, Miss. as an Operations Improvement Projects Coordinator and later a Strategic Planner.
Mark earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering from Mississippi State University in Starkville, Miss. and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of North Alabama in Florence, Ala.
