13th Annual Used Book Sale
Penn Highlands Community Nurses is gearing up to hold its 13th Annual Used Book Sale, featuring thousands of books donated by area residents. The sale will be held in the gymnasium of Sacred Heart Parish Center in St. Marys.
The community is requested to donate their used books to this popular event. Used books may be dropped off on the following dates:
- Monday, May 14, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Tuesday, May 15, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Wednesday, May 16, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM
Acceptable items are hardback and paperback books, children’s books, large print books, audio books, puzzles, games, music CDs and DVDs. Please do not bring books with any damage, books that are coverless, spineless, missing pages, damp or food-stained, encyclopedias, cassettes, 8-track tapes, home-recorded videos, weekly magazines, VHS or textbooks.
Volunteers are needed to help collect, sort and organize the books for the sale. Anyone interested in helping should contact Penn Highlands Community Nurses at 814-781-4722.
The Used Book Sale will take place:
- Thursday, May 17, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Friday, May 18, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM
- Saturday, May 19, from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon. (fill a bag; make a donation)
Proceeds from the sale benefit Penn Highlands Community Nurses Adult Day Center in St. Marys.
