New Provider Joins Dr. Amy Kelly

Penn Highlands Elk is pleased to welcome Lauren Shaver, PA-C, to its medical staff. A certified physician assistant, Lauren is seeing patients alongside Dr. Amy Kelly in the Rehabilitation Building, located on the Penn Highlands Elk campus.

Lauren became a physician assistant in 2011, after graduating from the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport. There she served as president of the Physician Assistant Club. She then worked briefly at Dr. Kathleen Fernan’s office in Ridgway.

In 2012, she began working for Penn Highlands DuBois, first in the neurology office, then at the Walmart urgent care clinic and most recently for Oncology/Hematology Associates of Northern Pennsylvania.

Lauren and Dr. Amy Kelly were also recently joined by Dr. Kapil Pruthi, a family practice physician.

“We have been actively seeking additional family practice providers for our area,” said Rose Campbell, president of Penn Highlands Elk. “We are excited to have Lauren joining us and to expand Dr. Kelly’s practice. Having multiple providers at the same office offers more immediate access to care from quality physicians.”
