New OB/GYN Provider at PH Elk

Dr. Steven Koch and Penn Highlands Elk are pleased to welcome Sarah Means, PA-C. She will be joining Penn Highlands Women’s Care, where she will see patients in the office, and she will be assisting with deliveries in the hospital’s maternity department.

Means graduated from Lock Haven University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in health science. She continued on to receive her master’s as a physician assistant earlier this year. She performed clinical rotations in obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics, general surgery and emergency medicine, among others.

A native of Punxsutawney, Means has worked for the Jefferson County EMS and as a gymnastics coach for the Punxsutawney YMCA. She volunteered as a nurse’s aide for 20 weeks in Harmons, Jamaica with the Won By One mission program.

“I am very excited to become a member of the St. Marys community and look forward to providing compassionate, top-notch care for women in the area,” said Means.
