2017 Patient Care Assistant of the Year at PH DuBois

Stacey L. Duttry has been named 2017 Patient Care Assistant of the Year at Penn Highlands DuBois.

Duttry works in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit, or CVICU, where she assists patients with personal hygiene, answers call bells, assists with positioning and dressing changes and tends to any additional needs of the patients. Additionally, she performs many of the clerical responsibilities in the unit and offers support to the nursing staff by helping with discharging and transferring patients. She also serves as a member of the Penn Highlands DuBois Skin Care Team.

“I am glad to see that Stacey has received this recognition,” said Annette Agosti, RN and director of the CVICU at PH DuBois. “She is very dedicated and concentrates on providing high quality patient care.”

Duttry, who has worked at PH DuBois for ten years, was previously employed at Christ the King Manor, DuBois. It was during her time there when she earned her nursing assistant certification. In addition to her Certified Nurse Aide certification, Duttry earned her associate’s degree in health care professions from Lock Haven University in Clearfield.

“I love the field I am in,” Duttry said. “It makes me feel like I make a difference. I go home at night knowing that my patients were cared for like a family member.”

A native of Woodstown, N.J., she lives in Sabula with her husband, Joe Duttry. She has two sons, Jordon Clark and Stephen Duttry, two step-sons, Andrew Clark and Austin Duttry and a step-daughter, Megan Duttry. In her free time she enjoys fishing, four-wheeling, reading and spending time with her nephew, Jae Harris.
