Hospice Butterfly Release Date Announced
Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospice cordially invites the public to the annual butterfly release to be held Sunday, Aug. 2, at 2 p.m. during Family Day at the Clearfield County Fair.
Everyone is invited to take part in this special service. On the day of the event, participants may give a donation of their choice and a butterfly will be released in memory or honor of loved ones.
All proceeds benefit hospice patients and their families as well as the bereavement program, which is a free service to anyone in the community who has suffered the loss of a loved one.
Participants should plan to arrive at the Litz Stage located in the grove at the Clearfield Driving Park no later than 1:45 p.m. Registration begins at 1:15 p.m.
Hospice is about hope and healing the spirit even though the body is too fragile to repair. Butterflies have long been a symbol of hospice, and are symbolic of change and new beginnings.
For more information about hospice or the butterfly release, please call Penn Highlands Clearfield Hospice at 768-2012.
