Located on the first floor of Penn Highlands Mon Valley, the Emergency Department holds dual Joint Commission certification as an Advanced Primary Stroke Center and Advanced Primary Heart Attack Center, backed by an on-site cardiac catheterization lab capable of immediate intervention for heart attack and stroke.
Penn Highlands Mon Valley has also been named a Healthgrades America’s 100 Best Hospitals for Stroke Care honoree for three consecutive years (2024, 2025, and 2026).
