Mohammad Azim, DO

Mohammad Azim, DO, is a Family Medicine Resident Physician at Penn Highlands Healthcare. Dr. Azim received his bachelor's degree from the University Of Nevada, Las Vegas, and attended medical school at Touro University Nevada College of Osteopathic Medicine in Henderson, Nevada. Prior to medical school, Dr. Azim worked as a medical scribe in multiple hospital emergency departments. Dr. Azim was also a regular volunteer at his local food bank, Three Square, during both his undergraduate studies and medical school.

Dr. Azim joined Penn Highlands for the supportive staff, friendly residents, flexible curriculum, and multiple career path opportunities. Dr. Azim enjoys living in the DuBois area for the beautiful natural scenery, friendly community, local food spots, and cost of living. Dr. Azim enjoys serving patients of all ages and is dedicated to providing them with the best care possible. Dr. Azim's favorite aspect of being a family medicine physician is getting to know patients and addressing their medical issues using a holistic approach. Dr. Azim's interests include lifestyle medicine, geriatric medicine, and medical compliance.

Dr. Azim grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada, where he was able to spend his time outdoors year-round playing multiple sports and participating in long-distance running. Outside of work, Dr. Azim enjoys the local running trails, watching and playing sports, home design projects, playing chess, and preparing tasty, healthy food recipes.
