Dr. Jason Clark’s Story
Making the best orthopedic surgery decisions together.
Jason Clark, DO, FAAOS, is home again. A board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and elbow surgery, sports medicine and general orthopedics, Dr. Clark returned to Central Pennsylvania to practice with Penn Highlands Healthcare.
“What has driven me from a very early age is the desire to help people,” he said. “By joining Penn Highlands Healthcare, I have been able to build a practice in State College, PA where the health system has expanded its footprint.”
Dr. Clark treats patients how he would want to be treated. He strives to empower them so that together they can make the best decision for a successful outcome.
Because patients are usually in pain and his goal is to make them more comfortable in an uncomfortable situation, his goal is to have them leave his office feeling a little better with confidence that he is treating them effectively.
Dr. Clark maintains that the formula for successful care is three-fold: the surgery must go well; the physical therapy must go well; and nature and God must work with them.
“When I go into surgery, I am ready for anything unexpected to happen so I have Plans “A-Q” prepared.”
A graduate of Juniata College and Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, he enjoys being part of Penn Highlands Orthopedics and Sports Medicine practicing in State College, Huntingdon and DuBois.
“Penn Highlands Healthcare gives people access to care in the rural areas of Pennsylvania so that they can stay close to home – in their familiar communities – to receive care.”
